Great Joy Primary School was founded by Kenyan long distance marathoner, Abel Kirui. Abel has a vision and mission to help under-privaledged, rural children receive an education. The Great Joy Education Centre is a boarding school, for students ages 4 - 13.

For $300/year, a child receives full boarding, basic medical care and an education. The scholarships will be given to rural girls who live in areas where female circumcision is still secretly practiced.
